The Link – an invitation to a sneak preview

I received a blog comment earlier, which I’m promoting to a top level post here:

I am writing from The Link Thamesmead.

We regularly read your blog and know you have taken an interest in The Link. We would like to invite you and all your readers, along to Open House, an event that is organised by Open-City that gives anyone and everyone from architectures to members of the general public ‘the chance to explore hundreds of inspiring buildings in London for free’.

Tours will be taking place at 10am, 11am and 12pm on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September 2012, and we would very much like your company and give you the chance to explore the new, state-of-the-art community hub that is going to offer so much to so many, and answer any questions you may have.

Reservations do not need to be made, you just need to turn-up! The address is: The Link Thamesmead, Belvedere Road, Thamesmead, SE2 9BS.

We look forward to seeing you there!

There was no name but the email address suggests its a J Hickson making us aware.

I’m intrigued by The Link and have been waiting patiently for it to open its doors. How much use I’ll get out of it myself, I’m unsure, as it seems to be aimed primarily at teenagers. Nonetheless, I definitely hope to be able to make it along to one of the tours to get a bit of a preview. I believe it’s due to open imminently so it’s possibly not that much of a preview, but I’ll report back if I make it there.
